Bradley Poore composes both sacred choral works and evocative instrumental music. His piece Surréxit Pastor Bonus, for SATB Choir, was sung at the prestigious Catholic Sacred Music Project Composition Institute at Princeton. He also earned acclaim from the Indiana Arts Commission for his captivating four-movement Suite for Cello and Piano, which debuted at the PianoForte Foundation in Chicago.
His undergraduate education included three years of piano performance studies at Florida State University, where he received a music scholarship, and then continued at St. Joseph Seminary College where he pursued studies in philosophy and earned his BA degree. While participating in the liturgies at St. Joseph Abbey, Bradley discovered his roots both musically and spiritually speaking.
Bradley lived in Italy for four years where he developed an interest in sacred choral music of the Italian Renaissance. After some years working as a freelance musician, Bradley completed his master’s degree in music education at Boston University, where he took courses in advanced music theory, orchestration, and the philosophy of music education.
